Feeling

I feel good. No ! Am I happy. From 0 to 100 score, my happy rate now is 150. My nurse told me that I have big smile on my face. I am flying. Heart rate OK. Do you know what is going on??

I called someone who very special to me. A girl. And then She picked the call up. This call really special to me because she had never pick my call up for 3 months. For the 3 month I had call this girl but she never answer my call. I keep trying. I don’t want give up. I almost always disappointed because she had never responds my call.

Today, I call her just to say hallo. I don’t expect she pick up the call. But she pick it up. I said “hi” and she said “hi” too. Then I was loosing the words. My heart rate was raising. I felt my body really light. Sunshine so bright.

She said I can text her anytime. I don’t know what is gonna happen but I will give her time for count me as a boyfriend.

My nurse was teasing me but he gave you good advice. He said the girls does like pushing or rushing. Let it like a river flow. He advised me to text her other time.

I thought this is a good sign from God. Maybe God let me enjoy a little time when I am staying here. Just a little enjoyment.

3 Reasons why I believe I can walk someday

1. Because the Bible says it. Jesus said let the crippled walk. With the same passion I believe Jesus will said same words to me. I believe what the bible said because my dad told me. Whatever my dad told me I believe it. I would can walk and hold my hands.

2. Because my nurse help me. He gave me massage; straight my back, stretched out my hands, feed me, and pushed me to the sunshine. He gave me vitamins, chicken soup that my mother cooked. My nurse like if I go out for the sunshine because he said I need it for my bones.

3. Because of prayers. If I thank God, he will help me.

Sleep Study

I have a problem. I have had lung failure. It makes my lungs unable to supply oxygen to my body. When I awake, I know if my oxygen is going down. I fell weak, my head started spinning, difficult to take a breath, chilly, then I will talk to the nurse to check my oxygen level. But in the night when I asleep and the nurse already went home, I might have episode of low oxygen level.

Dr. Hart refers me to pediatric pulmonologist. His name is Dr. Chips. He told my parent to get sleep study on me. Karina, my sister set up the appointment. I got a call to have the sleep study on November 11.

On that evening I got up set a little bit because Richard, my nurse, beat me at chess game. I kept quiet when he changed my cloths. He changed the oxygen tank, put my medicines to backpack, and pushed my wheelchair to the car. Ready to go to the clinics.

In the clinics, they put me on a small room and waiting for a few minutes. waiting for the technicians to put all the stuff on me. Once, I ask to have orange juice to a technician that looked cute. Later, Richard pushed me to another room. They put 24 wires on my head, 2 EKG wires on my chest, and 2 belt on my chest and stomach. I wasn’t scared because I am in the God’s hand. But I am scaring to get a shot. Even though I am in the God’s hand, the needle still hurt. After finished, they pushed me back to the room.

My dad fed me. I like it because it is rice. And then my dad gave me medication before he put me to bed. I have long sleep…

At 6.30 in the morning, I woke up. My dad put me back to wheelchair. And drove me back home.

Decision

In the morning of October 21, I felt really weak. I was starting coughing a lot. It was making me tired. I guessed my lung start failure again. My parent told me my lips turn to blue. My father immediately call 911 for emergency.

In a sort, I was staying in hospital for 9 days. Dr Yee and the nurses put me on c-pap because chronic pulmonary obstruction that I had. They gave me antibiotic to kill the bugs in my lungs, too. And they gave me steroid to open the airways.

On October 28, the doctor came and explained about my condition. He offered the comfort care status to my parents and me according to his observation on me. My lungs condition incurable anymore, they cannot fix it to better condition. If I have comfort care status the medical will cover the c-pap machines that I really need but in the same time I couldn’t entitle to have a nurse at home. But if I continue my current status I can have a nurse takes care of me but the medical cannot cover the C-pap machine.

What a joke… J I am kidding. No……! I felt sad L. I don’t know. It was stupid. I need the c-pap machine and a nurse to help me alive, but they gave me just one of them. Do they expect me ½ life? I understand something BIGGER that my need stand up in front of me. He/She/ It can crush me to death. They make decision in other person life. They are “the angel” that have a certificate to ended someone’s life or to continue someone’s life without questions.

My Nurse

My nurse’s name is Richard. He is 38 year old. He is 5′ 4″ tall. His weight about 180 lbs. His eyes are brown. His hobby is computer. His favorite is asian food. He said it is delicious.

When I asked his favorite restaurant, he said he does not have particular restaurant to go. He likes to watch comedy movie, such as Perry Tyler. Teal is his favorite color. He does not have any kids yet, but he love kids someday. He plan to have 5 kids. It does not matter boys or girls.

I have a dream. Someday I will walk like other person. I will play basket ball with others boy. I will help my mom cleaning the house and do the laundry. I will give massage to my dad because he always complaint about pain in his back. But I cannot do what I want because it is only dream. I have a cerebral palsy that make me have difficulties to move.

If I have no body limitations and I have a lot of money, I want to go to New York. I want to visit my grandma up there. I want to see Statue of Liberty because I have never been there. I want to go Europe, too. Definitely, It is not Russia. I like to see Rome because on teve I saw the city is very beautiful. I want to try the original spaghetti. I want to go to Florida. I like to visit my cousin and I like to watch Orlando Magic or Miami Heat. Go to the beaches on Tampa bay for snorkeling.

If I have another life and God bless me with wealthy, I want to donate to Slavic Baptist Church, Life Giver Foundation, Breast Cancer Research. I want to give money to Slavic Baptist Church because It will help to delight Sunday school , and they need bigger building, and they need support to pay minister. I want to give money to Life Giver Foundation because they work to give hope to hopelessness children, they care about the animal, they care about people. I want to give money to Breast Cancer research because they attempt to look for curing cancer, a lot of children lost they mother by cancer, and they try to save breast and world need those part of the body.

I have I dream someday the dream comes true…..

My Cousin Yana

I have a cousin. Her name is Yana. She is 19 year old and she is a brunette, black eyes, 5’ 6” tall, beautiful, cute, and all good thing you have ever imagine.

I like her because she is cool and she help me sometimes. When I admitted to hospital 2 weeks ago, she came to visit me. She fed me, hold my hand, told me about church.

I knew her since we lived in Russia. I remembered I was 4 year old when I met her first time. Her house about 5 kilometer far from mine. She used to bite my fingers when We grew up together. She said she do it because she loved me, but I thought she bite my fingers because it is taste fried chicken. Later, my family moved to United States and it made me lost her….

Couple years later, Yana’s family moved to United States too. I was happy to see her again. When she was small girl, she liked to suck her thumb.

Now, she grow up to beautiful teenager. I will missed her because I know someday she will married and take care her own family.

My Dream

I got out form hospital on September 19, 2009. Richard, the nurse who help me a lot, help me to the car. My dad took me home. Because my hospitalization, I cannot come to the college, so my sister dropped the class on behalf of me.

I want to be a writer someday but my dream is really far. I need to strive every single step I take. Luckily, my nurse help me on English Grammar. He continue teaches me from the books that I bought on the beginning of semester. Next semester, I will go to the English Class again. I wish I can be like everybody else.

Hospitalization

I was sleeping and I was unconscious. I didn’t know what was going on. I went to the hospital because I got sick. I was coughing because my lungs collapse. In the morning of September 10, 2009, my parent found me on unconscious. Then my brother, Larry, performed CPR because I didn’t have heart beat and respiration. My Dad called 911 and later an ambulance came. I was brought to Sutter General Medical Center. My parent told me that they ware scared. I was really in pain and I couldn’t take a breath. In the Emergency Room, I was unconscious again.

Later, I found my self already on ICU. They put intubation on me and lots of plugs. My body was really weak. I thought I was going in that time but I was keeping pray. “Thank you Lord for keeping my life” that was my pray.

One week later, the doctor allowed me to back home. Richard, the nurse who helps me all the time, came to hospital when I was going home. When I am writing this diary, I am still weak but I try to do something.

Thank you Lord for saving me, thank you dad and mom for helping me, thank you Larry for CPR that you do. To All the doctors and nurses at Sutter General Hospital, I appreciated your hard work to me. All the church members whose praying for me, I would say : ”Thanks a lot”.

My name is Yuriy Osipov. I am 20 ½ years old. I am 5 feet 4 inches tall. My eyes are blue. My hair is blonde. I am from Russia. I was five years old when we moved to the United States. I have four brothers and four sisters. My hobby is watching basketball. My favorite team is the Los Angeles Lakers. My favorite music is Christian Worship. My favorite food is in and out burgers and French fries. My favorite movies are Passion Of The Christ, Like Mike 2 and Madagascar 2 Escape To Africa.
